Energy Web Sites : LUSENET : Middle School Science : One Thread

Hello, I am doing a project with my kids about the different forms of energy. Can anyone suggest web sites for the kids to check out. Some of them have emailed me saying that and didn't have info. I will check these myself, but if you could offer any other suggestions I would really appreciate it. Thank you, Deanna

I have been to and just typed in energy and got lots of sites. One site includes: Energy Story This particular link will get you a story, but if you go to the homepage you will find lots of information and activities.

Check out Radars Physics4Kids. You might also want to use this site, AOL@School, as a starting point in the future.

I have mostly been compiling websites for teachers, but I will start a list for sites that are useful to students if anyone has suggestions.

The Exploratorium is a science Museum in San Franscisco that does some really cool stuff, but you will need to do some searching to find the info on their website. Here's an activity/demo, for example, that you could do in class or students could do at home for fun: BASEKET BALL.

Lastly, check out NTSA Recommended Websites for a list of math & science links for parents/students. It's a lot of work, but let me know if you find good stuff and I will add it to the list of student resources.
