DAILY TOON PREDICTIONS COMPETITION

MATCH 29 – EVERTON (away)

After two poor performances, one at home and one away, separated by the visit to La Manga, we find ourselves heading for a Goodison Park showdown with Everton, which technically could see several former Toon favourites lining up against us, but given their equal liking for injury, the chances of any or all of them playing against us is quite low.

Goodison Park has brought us a fairly balanced mixed bag of results in our visits there in the Premier league. The seven games have ended as three wins, three defeats and one draw, but it has to be remembered that the Toffee's gave us a sticky time at SJP earlier in the season when they staged a smash and grab raid and got away with the three points. Hopefully it will be revenge time for the boys.

So what's it gonna be this time round - Win, lose or draw, correct result and the goal scorer, go on, have a try, it doesn't hurt, it doesn't cost anything and most of all its harmless fun. Just post you prediction below and the system will automatically enter you into the game.

Closing time for the competition as usual is 15 minutes prior to kick off.

The results in the previous matches have been:

93/94Won 2-0
94/95Lost 0-2
95/96Won 3-1
96/97Lost 0-2
97/98Drew 0-0
98/99Lost 0-1
99/00Won 2-0

Good luck everyone.

A grizzly match to come. We escape with a lucky 1-1 draw. Gazza not a factor this time. Amobi gets a goal.

Pete says 2-1 toon (always optimistic), some Everton guy scoring first. Nee idea whee plays for them these days.

2-2 (Shearer, Bassedas)

0-2 on current form. Is the lanky buggar plying for Everton? If so, he's guaranteed to score two - all our ex-players do well against us it appears.

Sorry - playing away, should read 2-0. To them. Not to us. We lose. They win. Ferguson scores two. That should clear it.

Have to go back to Cut and Paste I suppose. Not much time to think this one out.

2-1 to us Shearer!!

Lose 1-0 Ferguson

2-1 Speed & Goma (why not?)

For Speed, read Nobby. Obviously.

When the stock market is in complete agreement that things are great and everything must continue upwards, or in complete agreement that things couldn't get any worse you have to go the other way. If everyone wants to buy shares who is going to sell ? If everyone wants to sell their shares who is going to buy them ?

We are all as pissed off as we have been since just before Elland Road. Therefore we must win 3-1. Who have we knocked the most ... non- tackling Nobby, (h)air head Warren. Firs goal will be fee kick tapped from Centre parting to Solano to break the net. Shola, if playing, will again show that Duncan is dead, long live the Duncan.
