ezboard down Tell a friend about this message!

looks like ez is still having problems. Doing a trace, it seems they have dropped their midwest server mirrors and now only reside in SanFranCA. Looks like that means whenever CA has problems, ez will be majorly affected. Also probably primetime and other hi-hit periods. The servers don't seem to have extra bandwidth to deal with these. Prolly gonna see a lot of this with other sites too in the near future.

March 1 at 12:00CST EZBOARD's all went dead...hope it is just "maintenance" or something and they haven't pulled the plug on us. By the way, anybody catch the "deadcat bounce" on the Nikkei a little while ago?

Remember the dire warnings we have been hearing about what **might happen** when or if the Japan Nikkei drops below 12500?

Look at this overnight chart....YIKES!

It was falling off a cliff for about 10 to 15 minutes - down over 200 to 12528 in that length of time and then bounced 100 up and seems to be stuck there at 1:00am CST or is the Japanese market closed at that point or did it possibly trip a "circuit breaker" during the plunge?

US Market Futures are ugly as well...

http://www.cme.com/cgi-bin/gflash.cgi

Hong Kong is down between 300 and 400 points so far...much of the rest of Asia/Pacific markets are in the red between 1% and 3%.

Unless the US markets rally for some unknown reason, looks like a bad day in the markets shaping up for Thursday...

Hi guys

Made a trip around all the backup forums and this seems to be the place of meeting. Ugh. Freedom Fighters seems to be a better one or Carl Lillys. Can we herd cats?

-- fun fun fun (funfunfun@funfunfunny.zip), March 01, 2001.

How can people live in fear of everything all the time. The week I became frightened over Y2K, before I thought it out and realized it wasn't going to be like Gary North's site said it would be, I couldn't sleep and was so stressed beyond reason. I cannot imagine living with the conviction that everything is ready to collapse at any time.

-- Cherri (jessam5@home.com), March 01, 2001.

Cherri,

Everything already has collapsed. You can stop worrying now.

The end of civilization came with the invention of artificial cinammon flavor. We're just coasting downhill toward oblivion now.
