I have just bought an EOS 10 for my infrared photography and I like the camera a lot.

BUT, there are two things wich I find quite annoying. I usually set the focus point selector to the one in the middle and everytime I turn the camera off and on again, it is re-set to all three points. The same happens with the aperature selection - it is always re-set to f5.6.

I also have an EOS 1n body which keeps the focus point selection and none of my other bodies(EOS 600, RT, 1000FN i.e.) re-sets the aperature to a default after turning the camera off.

I did not find a CF to change it so is there any way around this?

Any input is greatly appreciated.
