Yes, it IS you! My God man, where have you been? (Nevermind) Thank GOD you are back and echoing some of the frustrations a number of us have been feeling. It's not just AINT's threads, it is the whole political yadda=yadda that I find simply boring. This group of folks used to be the most diverse, intellectually stimulating (if you wished to follow the links they provided), bunch of people I had ever encountered. (Not that I get out much you understand!) I think lots of folks tolerated the OCD behaviors of folks during the turmoil of the election mess, and believed that once the election was over, we could get back to our old forum persona. That persona of the forum that so uniquely diverse, you could visit every day, and find something there that was fascinating, new, informative, enligtening, angering, or whatever. You could always depend on a forum member to make you exercise your brain, and expand your thoughts in some way that was new to you. It was also a chance, over time, to get to know each other's personalities, and in some cases, to come together in small groups, in various ways, to help and support one another through some of the difficulties in our lives. You and I, and others know that we have been here for each other, in many positive, life affirming ways. I sense that some of your frustration, like mine, is that is missing these days. One of the things that has made this forum unique is that we have all (mostly, cared and respected each other, for the most part). I do believe the core members of this group, the real ones, who know and care sincerely about each other, can begin again, to do the same. It will never be a reincarnation, but it will still be the same place, where we can come to disagree, share ideas, sometimes find common ground, and common disagreement, and still live together. I believe that because that is what we must all do in real life. And, for those of us that have connected IRL, we are forever changed. Always for the bettter, IME. While the rants and debates, when pointed, are a good purgative, emotionally and intellectually, it is in the sharing of ourselves that draws us back here again and again.

I don't take anyone seriously here regardless if they have a real or fake e-mail address. In all the years I've been posting on forums on the internet, I have yet to e-mail anyone.
