greenspun.com : LUSENET : Portugal Porto Mission : One Thread

For all those who served with president Phillip R. Brown and haven't hear the sad news yet, Sister Brown passed away last saturday (24 Feb 2001). She will be greatly missed both by her family, and by those who had the blessing of serving with this wonderful couple.

Wow, she was such a nice lady. I serverd 92 ~ 94. She was loved by all and will be missed. She was the mission mom and sure knew how to give a gamoglobulin shot that hurt ! My rump is still sore. My prayers are with the Browns.

When I heard the news about this it stunned me. At first I did not know what to think. Sister Brown and I had a mixed relationship. i was one of "their" group. We did not always see eye to eye on the Elders that were in the field. For the last ten years now, I still look back and think of the things that went on in the mission. Sis. Brown had an effect on people that changed my like forever. I don't know if this is true...as that it is a rummor that has been passed around.(Like that is anything new ..Our group would understand this joke) Perhaps I will take a trip to Salt Lake and drop in. Anyhow, I do wish all of you the best, and I do hope that this is not true....as that I would like to see them again.
