Surely your kidding Hisa. You dont really think that people REALLY own the boards to all these games do you?? LMAO

I know your oriental, and people may be more honest in Japan, but come on, wake up dude. lol

I'm both with QT and against him on this. It is a very honourable thing that you are doing, Hisa, and I find that admirable that you do it this way. However, from a player perspective like David and Richy, it would be much to lose. This looks to be a true fight amongst the best in MARP, and to have you in it would show how much of an impact MARP has had. Plus, you can have another victory to show to your friends :)

This sounds like I am pressuring you. However, it's completely your decision. If you do truly drop out, you will be missed by all.

Very Sincerely,

Hisa, is doing the only logical/Honorable thing. None of us should be making the recordings we don't own the boards for.

there's no way Hisa should give up his morals to compete in a tournament, even if it would do the tournament good, it would dishonor Hisa.

Hisa, have you tried contacting Stern or which ever company has purched them? Perhaps there is a timeout to Stern/Tago 1982 licence to the anteater game. But then Tago would still have rights to it... It might be impossible.

Hmmm, If everyone would think like that, nobody would be able to attend marp tournaments. Nobody has all the boards for mame. Look at the leaderboard top 10...

Is that ok to "betatest" a romset for a day, or is it only possible (legally) to test mame with a romset you own. Hisa, you would brake 15000 points in about 5 games propably. But you most likely would not own other roms to be played at later stages of tournament.

I have a Hotrod, and it gives me legal rights for some Capcom games (that I don't play). I have no boards for any of the games I play/submit. I've put my fair share(or little more than that) of coins in to those games though, in the past. If I really wanted to do it "legally", I would have to buy those games from USA/ebay. Shipment costs would be vast. Or I could buy those boards that are found at ebay, even though wouldn't have the machines ;) There are allmost none 80's games left in Europe.

People at mamenet board think that it's ok to add any game into mame, as long as it's not commercially in use anymore. I don't think Midway gives a shit about me playing Atari's Marble using mame, since they don't make any money from it anymore.

Ok, arrest me, TJT

well just dont give a f*ck. How about that? If its illegal than TOO BAD! come get me!

Richy...you are redefining the term 'dumbass'.

Poor support for your viewpoint + loud proclamations = dumbass.

Let us know when you decide to exit the junior high school mentality and enter the real world. In other words, just respect Hisa's decision for now.
