Interesting article. Good old American know how to the rescue again. Now my question is where would you find a grain burning furnace or how could you convert what you have. I probably will never use one since I have plenty of wood and manage my wood lot for a sustained harvest but it sure would be nice to know just in case!

Try this. During the winter, we give our Angora goats dried corn still on the ears, as a treat. They eat the kernels and leave the ears. We collected the ears and burn them in our woodstove, along with the wood.
