Letter in 4-4-2: CHEEKY B*S*A*DSgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Unofficial Newcastle United Football Club BBS : One Thread |
There's this letter in this month's 4-4-2 from a Spurs fan saying that it was pathetic how we got noisier as we went further down at White Hart Lane at New Year and just went to prove that we were desperate to give support rather than give ourselves up to the real emotions of being upset at being a couple of goals down. Instead of lauging at the thick fecker, 4-4-2 say that we are pathetic and only do it to prove what good fans we are and they are sick of us basically.

It seems to me that if the editors of 4 - 4 - 2 are slagging off NUFC and the fans, you should stop subscribing to it and tell others not to buy it

They're just jealous.

"Geordies quiet in Defeat shockNewcastle lost for the 327th time in a row in London yesterday and at the end not a squeak could be heard from their 5000 fans. Proof positive that at last those two faced northen bastards have turned into normal supporters and refused to support their team in adversity. We always knew it was a sham, 4-4-2's London correspondent noted. The 6000 crowd at Arsenal proved to be the biggest at the New Highbury this season, and the second biggest in London this year, behind the 7500 Newcastle's visit to Fulham earlier this season."

Incidentally, they also published a feature saying that our loyalty was a myth (quoting guess which game....yep, you got it, Oxford at home blah blah). They said that we are basically attention-seeking fools.

"attention seeking fools", a very accurate description of your average sports journo methinks.
