Full-screen, auto executing MPG2 VCD

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I am wondering if it is possible to burn an MPG2 VCD that upon insertion into a PC, auto executes and comes up full-screen without any type of interface. Any assistance regarding techniques or what software needs to be purchased would be greatly appreciated. Also has anyone ever heard of an application named Adobe Search Reader? Thanks in advance for any help!

VCD is not MPEG-2, it is MPEG-1. VideoPak 4.0 has an option for adding data to VCD's, and I believe it can do what you want (READ THE HELP FILE!!!)

Adobe Search Reader probably refers to Adobe Acrobat Reader. Under version 3 there was one with search capability (called "Adobe Acrobat Reader w/Search)" and one without. Adobe has now moved on to version 4 and I think all version 4 Acrobat reader software has the search capability.
