Ground Pressure

The challenge: create a device to carry a very heavy object (say a standard cargo container filled with gravel) over a road course.

To make it simple, the device could take the form of a trailer with lots of wheels, but those darned producers used up most of the wheels in previous episodes....the teams still have to find a way to support a heavy load and move it in a controlled fashion.

An air cushion would be the quickest and simplest way to do it. picture a hovercraft with only a lift fan. the other team (the losers) would use wheels. both teams would get identical prime movers Dozer, unimog, or a 6x6 military vehicle and have to travel over road and offroad sections.

Moving tons on a homemade hovercraft would be a whole lot different than moving a few hundred pounds on one. If there's even one bump in the path, I'll put my money on the wheels - even if the team has to make wheels.
