Saturday February 17 1:49 PM ET One Dead in Ohio Train CrashCARLISLE, Ohio (Reuters) - One person was killed and two were severely injured on Saturday when a CSX freight train rammed into the rear of a slow-moving CSX train in southwestern Ohio, Warren County authorities said.
They said the three victims were crew members aboard the train that crashed into the slower moving train. No one was hurt on the other train.
The two trains were traveling on southbound tracks near Carlisle, 10 miles south of Dayton, Ohio, when the collision occurred about 2 a.m. EST, authorities said.
National Transportation Safety Board (news - web sites) representatives joined CSX officials at the scene to investigate the cause.
