"The Carnival's in Town"

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

OK....Take a deep breath and visualize this>>>> Each team must build a motorized contraption which has to carry all team members along a course to three locations. Each location there is a carnival type challenge. The vehicle each team builds must carry the nessecary equipment for all three challenges.... The first would be one of those pads that you hit with the mallot and send the ball up the rod to try and ring the bell. This would be a monstrous pad which would take hitting it with tremendous power to ring the bell. (Maybe some kind of hydraulic ramming hammer) Three trys...... The next would be one of those dunk tanks with the targets. George would be sitting in the tank and the team would have 3 shots with whatever they build to hit the target and sink George.... The next location each team would pull up to a 15' wide by 8' tall wall. The whole wall is covered with hundreds of balloons. The team has to have built something which will pop as many balloons as they can in 5 minutes. the team must park at a given spot, say 35 feet away. (Possibly a nail throwing device or a scatter gun?) Along the way as a team wins, they receive those tacky stuffed animals they usually give you. The team with the most stuffed animals at the finish line, wins! They could get some carnie's as judges and experts? Maybe Cathy in top hat and tails and George in clown white?

Duane, this is inspired. Either that or crazy. I would love watching it.

Let's go. I've been building floats for Mardi Gras since I was 6. I know of at least 5 different experts too!!

That would be fun. They could fly in the old teams so we could throw them stuff in Mardi Gras style!!!!!

See and they say that having too much time on your hands is a bad thing!

Thanks Duane...now a mixture of carnival and "Transformers" music is clashing in my head!

It's a cool idea!

I think Flatmo is just trying to brainstorm as many ideas as possible that abuse George!

p.s. I love the idea!

I think some humiliation would help to win over some of the Non-George people? Maybe?
