Eric and Kablamo The Clown, get your sarcasism guns ready...

How about a challenge, whereas the contestants are confided to a 200' x 200' area with a wall of interlocked highway walls. The teams must find a way to escape by building a "non-engine" powered "mobile vehicle" to get the entire team and one host through a course and then under or over the wall?

And now that it's in LA..... They could hold the finals down in Tijuana and the team that gets to California, wins!!!

Was that reverse psychology? I can't find anything in your post to be sarcastic about. Your suggestion is original and you're not taunting anyone...

However, I've got to admit I don't fully understand your suggestion. Please elaborate.

Picture a challenge with a theme...A jailbreak. You have to make the device to get all the members out of the "prison yard". You have to use what you can find and go though some sort of course. The last item being "the wall". First team out wins their freedom (and a ticket to the next challenge)...

Final Note: The work coveralls "work" with this idea, especially if they are orange...

Why not engine powered. I imediatly envisioned a six (eight)wheeled vehicle each wheel powered by hydraulic motors. come to the highway barrier lift the wheels and leg it is on by a hyd cylinder one at a time. Imagine a daddy longlegs with a diesel motor. A 6-71 detroit wide open. Sounds better than ANY car motor.

I picture a ladder.

I think Stephen wants to put a motor on everything. Hey, how about a scuba diving helmet with a 427 hemi???

Nothing is wrong with HP as long as you just don't end up with two bulldozers at the end of the challenge...

If you are going to use horsepower than straight pipes are the only way to go...

Huh? What? I can't hear you!
