Feed the Giant Watermelon pie...

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

The contestants will be challenged to feed a nearby giant. This giant loves Watermelon pie, but he likes his watermelon beat up into a mush. So the contestants will have to build a giant food blender or mixer. They can break the watermelons in half on the side and dump in the blender. The team to fill the giant pie first wins.

OK you could use Watermelon or some other challenging fruit or vegtable, but building a giant watermelon blender would be cool and what a challenge. How will they dump it if it is a large bowl and full. What will they find to make a bowl out of. And of course tehy could make different types of blenders or mixers.

But mabe a safe food for wood chiper. The watermelon not the pie or the blender.

The water mellon must be beaten or blended, not smashed or crushed. No veggie-matic idea here.

I really like some of the challenges here. Build a giant beater, or blender. One blade or two? What can they get to use for a bowl? Can they make one? How full can they get it and how will they empty it? Will they think of a way to retract the blender blade or blades to get it out of the way?

The blade will have to be strong enough not to break and if the engine is too strong will everything fly out of the bowl? You know they could adapt some sort of gas engine possibly a motor cycle engine if they can find a chain to turn the blade???

Lots of engineering to this baby...

Sounds SWEET!!!

Right first of we need to ask the question what age our we in if the present day then all is well. First basically the blender would be a huge upside down lawnmower surrounded by perspex. Easy to build in this day and age. You can can then remove the watermalon by helicopters. The helicopters could also doulbe up by dropping the watermelons in to the blender. Well thats it im stuck on the making the dough my mate johnny will answer that one
