Sisyphus & Smart Bombs

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

The Sisyphus Challenge: roll a large, heavy, round (or perhaps cylindrical) object up a tall, steep hill.

Smart Bombs: give each team a lipstick camera and a transmitter around which they must build paint bombs. When dropped from a goodly height, the bombs must be steered (ideally by remote control from the ground) into a target.

It has been done already

I think he means that the bomb would be relaeased from a height. Crane, TV tower, baloon 300m or so would be cool. And guided to a target some distance away. These would be "smart" bombs not the "dumb" bombs on the bomber episode. The challenge here would be to guide the munition to target NOT to fly to target and release.

Yes -- the idea would be to build and steer the bombs, not the bombers.
