Water Balloon Launcher

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

OK! I know that launchers have been used in the past. And God knows how many times mentioned in here. But! They all launcher sturdy objects.ie: Punpkins, rocks, cabbage, tomatoes etc. Try something with a twist. Literaly. A water balloon is constantly in fluid motion. Not solid at all. The tricky part is to be able to launch one as far as those solid items. Trebache's in my opinion would be out of the question because of the centrifical force on the ballon as it spins around. Any Ideas on this?

I used to build water balloon launchers using surgical rubber tubing and a beach bucket. I've also recently seen an advertisement selling a similiar contraption. Very effective at sending water balloon several hundred feet.

We have been building compress air water balloon launchers since 1985 that will launch 12 - 20 balloons at one time with one Balloon Bazooka... Using 100 - 120 psi obtainable by most homeowner/garage air compressors we can launch water balloons up to 600 feet... Check out our video on www.balloonbazooka.com
