Well Justin,you should check out Popular mechanics for 1932.I'm not sure what month it is,but there a short article they called a "one wheel auto".It carried two passengers and made a speed of 30 miles per hour when tested in England.It was called the "dynasphere".I happen to have an old popular mechanics hard bound best of book and I remembered seeing it......it's ten feet tall and kind of looks like a tire and is powered by a small 4 stroke.The pic looks really strange.Any of you Brits out there know anything about it?

I've seen that giant one wheel contraption before. It's on a film you might be able to find at your local obscure video store. The film is called "Gizmo" There is a shot of this machine on the show along with all kinds ofr interesting inventions throughout history. A great fun film. Check it out!

I read some old book or article about the small race cars kids would build in the 1930s. One of the most sought after items was a "motor wheel" that was a bicycle wheel with a small gasoline engine in the hub. Cars built with these were often 5 wheelers with the motor wheel in the middle rear. One would be cool for a scale Morgan 3 wheeler. :) Too bad these wheels haven't been produced for over 50 years. :(
