OTF metering in 67II & manual meterin w/o AE finder

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Pentax 67 SLR : One Thread

I was looking at a picture of the 67II on the web when I noticed that there is a rear facing meter pickup in the floor of the mirror box. Is this because the 67II does OTF metering? My sense is that it is probably for flash work. Also, is the metering in the AE prism or in the body. That is, can you use a waist level finder and have manual metering available or is it like the 67 in that there is no on board metering without the TTL prism.

Deron, I was reading about this a year or so ago. If memory serves, you need the AE finder to get automatic exposure control, and metered manual control, but the TTL flash control is built into the body. Bob
