I want to know How I can produce my own VCD's and Audio CD's even I've one CD Writer only? or which one hardware I've to buy for above mentioned problem?

First, you have to buy a Video Capture card. Then capture movie or your personal videos in MPEG-1 format. Then convert your captured MPEG-1 files through Adaptec Create CD Ver. 4.02E or greater version. The adaptec software will convert your MPEG-1 videos and will create VCD of your Videos.

mpeg-1 is not compatible with Adaptec VCD creator. I am using a 'MGI video wave demo -III' to capture in Video CD format directly. but the quality is not so good i think. you can down load it from MGI.

Also, go to http://www.doom9.org/index.html?/software.htm and scroll down to the "S/VCD Tools" section, that will contain a bunch of programs/tools for creating VCDs or SVCDs. Good Luck!

I had lots of problems burning VCD's. I found that nero is good for burning them but has very basic functions and capabilities for example it will not burn menu's correctly, but even so i use it as there isnt much else out there that is as easy to use as nero, as i think its quite frankly the best burning software around....for Audio! the best file encoder i found was TMPGenc. It tells you the size of the file in MPEG-2 format before you encode it, so its quite handy but takes ages! So in brief, TMPGenc to encode and NERO to burn. Or you could just download VCD galaxy from somewhere as it has eveything you'l need to rip, convert and burn VCD's!
