On my Pentax 67, the film winder has become a little stiff - it still works OK, but not as freely as it should. I know the winding mechanism can be a problem on this camera.

My question is: Cn I lubricate the winder with a few drops of oil, or should I get the camera professionally serviced.

My well used Asahi does the same thing as yours but my like new Asahi is quite smooth. They do wear over the years. I would not even consider oiling mine. If you are considering this, I would suggest calling Pentax first. SR
