The Place Called Attar

I have a copy of this book. Is there anyone who hasn't read it that would like to have it?

For those not familar with it, The Place Called Attar was written by Jd Belanger. Very spirital/mythalogical in nature and very interesting.

Lena, what I suggest is waiting for about a week to see who would like to read it, since it is out-of-print. Then, forward it on to the first request, with their promise each reader has to pass on down the line, etc., with eventual return to you.

I'm surely interested!

I would be also, I was always going to buy a copy and never got around to it.

Lena;

I thinks that Ken's suggestion is a great one. I've had my copy for years and loaned it to my brother and that's the last I saw of it.

I keep hoping that JD writes another book as I've heard rumors that he has considered writing one about the ideal homestead community / world.

I would sure look forward to Jd writing another book. Does anybody remember the article he wrote before Y2K? It was about what he thought would be the perfect community every community would be self contained. It was a great article and I would love to see a whole book of his ideas on this subject.

Lena, thank you so much for offering your book to the group. I think Ken had a great idea about passing the book along. I would love to read it, but don't feel the need to actually own a copy. Borrowing it long enough to read would suit me just fine. If you decide to adopt Ken's idea, please add me to the list.

Add me to the read and pass along list. I'm a speed reader so it won't take me over 3 days max to read it.

Thanks

Oh, thank you for reminding me of the book!! I have been trying to remember the name of it. I couldn't remember the author or name, but I could remember the story. It is wonderful and warmed my heart. Blessings!

For those with a back issue collection, it was serialized in Countryside some time back. As I recall, it was at the back of each issue. Perhaps someone can look through their back issues for the issues the series appeared in and let the forum know.

Perhaps if enough people ask Dave (dbelanger@tds.net) he might convince Jd to let it be run again.

Sandy, if you e-mail me and tell me where to send it, I'd be happy to. Maybe you could then send it to Diane, and so on.

Please add me to the read and pass along list too. Thanks

Lena:

Probably the only way this would work is for you to make a list of everyone's valid e-mail address in advance. Then staple the list inside the front cover, with you at the end. That way everyone knows who to contact to send it to next.

Okay, Kenneth in NC, don't think you can get higher on the list because you can read fast (tee hee). Please add my name to the list.

Please add me on to the list for reading "Attar", I didn't realize it was out of print. Thanks for sharing.

-- Lynda (AZ) (lynlee@c2i2.com), February 16, 2001.

I mailed the book today to Sandy, with the e-mail addresses of everyone that wanted to read it in the front. Just e-mail them and get their address. Please add Lynda to the list. I've read it, I don't need it sent back, so the last one to read it, please send it to Sandy. Thanks.
