You have it backward Chucky, the "new" series you are bad mouthing is the first series being shown again. All the good "JYW" fans already know that. Had that series not gotten the viewers, "JYW" would no longer exist. Learn to spell.

I think that Chuck sucks and the way he spells sucks and the knowledge he has sucks and his long sentence sucks.

Perhaps you should figure out what's going on with the show before you start your whine. What you are seeing now is SERIES ONE! This is what started it all.

Maybe you're just a sucky person and probably complain about everythung!

Sucky Chucky...

I think I can figure out most of what he's trying to say, but what does this mean?

"the unis suck the new(they where the old ones) suck"

-- Eric (earsjohnson@usa.net), February 07, 2001.

Eric, I think what he's trying to say is...""the unis suck the new(they where the old ones) suck"

yeah, watching the first series really lets you appreciate how much better the product is today, adding that cute little British bird, plus a better set, definitely makes the show a lot better. Although, I think the first ones were a little less contrived than the newer ones. I think there is far too much stuff planted in the new ones... you see how Bowser had to spend so much time looking for tires, I think that is a lot better, than say.. hiding rockets motors...

Sucky Chucky???? Is that Chatty Cathy's little brother?????

-- Craig Wardle (cwardle@execulink.com), February 07, 2001.

The junkyard has always been seeded. In the original pilot, they even kept track on air ("motor 3 of 5", "prop 4 of 6"...) Remember, the competition is a red herring, the point of the show is what science it demonstrates.

Oh yea, they will be doing rockets for the last show of the run. Yes, they seeded the rocket engines. The US series was done with all recycled challenges. In general, the US solutions are more robust devices.

The first words that came to mind when I read this message's subject was "Host". I'm sorry but the new host is just trying to hard to be like the old guy. I don't mind having the show set in America, I love it, I just think the host could learn to tone it down a bit.

The other thing is they made the show somewhat too unrealistic, they surely set up certain things to happen. Such as: The final 4th season episode when the Art Attacks needed a bigger rocket engine and the lady on that team "just so happened" to have a pair of pantyhose to trade for one from the Long Brothers(Brothers Long, I forget). I wish they would cut some of the Soap Oprah and get some more Science in there.

Lastly I want to see a show ehere they let younger people in. A Junior Junkyard Wars would be really cool, then I could fullfill my dream of basking in Junk

Yard War glory.

-- Young JYW Fan (Gandolf328@aol.com), February 07, 2001.

The panty hose did have to do with science. It was a pretty cool way of protecting the egg with an elastic suspension unit. It would have looked more suspicious finding those just laying in the junkyard. I think it's cool showing teams trading for parts. it's kind of what we do every time we go looking for something here at home. "Barter is better"

Jeff? frome the nerds? is that you? ahhhhhhhhhh!!! you drove me crazy when I watched you!! Gio was by far the best Junkyard warrior of all time, he carried your team the whole way and almost singlehandedly won the nerds the championship.... despite YOUR incompetence!!!!! The only good thing you ever did was find the chain and gears for the steam car, the rest of the time you stunk!! you couldn't even get the flag out of the box!!! ahhhh!!! I could tell that Gio and the Captain dude wanted to rip your throat out by the end of it! They made such a superior fire-boat, but still lost!

-- Paul (jzuwata@hotmail.com), February 08, 2001.

Paul, you're an IDIOT. Jeff, you know the rest of us love you! Go NERDS!

-- Rhonda (mxrs@zianet.com), February 09, 2001.

Paul, for that post there is a special place reserved in Hell just for you. You will spend eternity reading a special version of this board consisting only of the same six challenge suggestions repeated forever, kids demanding to be allowed on the show, and complaints that the "new version of the show" sucks.
