Pumper Truck Fire Relay

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

The teams would have to design and build a Pumper truck that would need to dress in fire brigade gear and travel to a lake or start at the lake, load enough water to put out fairly large fire(s) and travel to the fire(s) 100 yards away, if they run out of water they must return to the lake, winner would be the first team to put the fire(s) out or the team that returns to the start point first.

Good One! Same idea that my wife had, only I figured they could either have an old fashioned water fight, or place a barrel out some distance and whoever gets the most water in the barrel wins. This won't cause any problems with local burn ordinances or anything.

The Fire pump idea is great. At some fire fighter games they have a competition called waterball. The object is to push with a waterstream from a pump through a hose with a smooth bore nozzle and move a large metal ball that is suspended from a cable between two telephone poles. Each team tries to push the ball to the other teams end to win. It's a lot of fun and everybody get wet.
