Looking for folks homesteading in New Brunswick

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

My husband and I have been looking to purchase land in Canada-- we've looked into the Muskoka area and Nova Scotia, but have just invested in land through Digman Real Estate Co. in New Brunswick (because the land was very affordable for 25 acres, treed, level, with a creek, and fourty minutes from Moncton-- for supplies and work while we get our homestead going.) We plan to be on our property in a year. We are 29 and 32 years old and have heard there are other homesteaders in Kent County where we've purchased our property. Are any of you online? I know we will be settling in a mostly French speaking area, but we are looking to connect with English speaking folks. Hope to hear there are friendly people out that way to connect with! I live in Nova Scotia but when I was involved in sales I traveled a lot in NB. You will find the French speaking people in that area are almost all bilingual and truly great people. Moncton is an area that should offer you employment opportunities
