What type of caboose was #0388.

My grandfather, Brad Dinkins, was based in Montgomery, AL. The route he was on ran to Thomasville, GA. ACL Caboose #0388 was his and I am trying to gather information as to the type and accessories. Any additional information that is known about this particular caboose would be greatly appreciated. My grandfather and three great uncles were the entire crew for a run on this route.

A note to the baywindow cabooses listed, these where the only bay window cabooses ACL owned and the "BAY" was offset to the right.

Russell, According to page 53 in my copy of the ACL Freight Equipment Data Book, dated Dec. 12, 1947, caboose #0388 is a M-3 class cab.

Of note on the next page, is 5 ACL wooden BW cabs, also class M-3. These cars wore numbers 051, 093, 0174, 0187, and 0343. They show build dates of 1900-27, by ACL, DWG No. S5-6 (?). Interesting...
