Canadian series.

How about doing a series in Canada EH. It could be shot in Victoria, and I am sure that you would get a good response for teams.

This isn't really an answer, but rather an expansion of the idea. I would suggest that a true Canadain series would be shot in the winter, and have winter related challenges. (Build a snow mobile, or a snow plow, a snow ball catapult???) As nice as Victoria is, it isn't representitive of most of Canada. Winnipeg is a nice central location that has a real winter.

Ever tried to work on machinery outside in the winter? Not for the faint of heart! The lumberyard has a sledge on hand to separate 2x4s in the yard.

Having replaced a heater fan and brake pads in the last two weeks, I know! California sounds like a great place to fabricate stuff, but I'd still like to see some winter themes, snow vehicles etc.

You don't know misery until you've replaced the clutch in a Pontiac Fiero in an Ottawa driveway in January.

My fingers didn't work for a week.

Junkyard snowmobiles, snowblowers, ice-racers etc. come to mind immediately, but the more practical problem would be keeping the yard free of snow so that the teams can find the stuff that they need.

Having several feet of snow on the ground is not something where TV viewers can universally relate, however: the majority of the world's population is smart enough to live in places where an inch is a heavy snowfall.

Oh man, am I gonna get hate-mail for that one.

[grin]

But it's true.
