The one instance that jumps out at me most clearly is that I chose not to take a man's life when I literally held it in my hands. A few seconds, which seemed like hours, to decide the fate of another. I'll be forever grateful for having made the right decision.

Well, I have two that stick out in my mind:

1. Speaking before a NYC Transit Authority Hearing and actually having all three of my money-saving suggestions implemented. (Yeah, OK, so it only lasted maybe one or two years.....there WAS a giant surplus a couple of years later ;-))

2. Packing up and moving cross-country after living in NYC for 40 years. Now I get real scenery versus tall, gray buildings.

sumer, are you still coughing? I had to go to the doctor twice with this damn cold/flu condition. It's taken me eight weeks to shake it.

-- kb (kb8um8@yahoo.com), January 31, 2001.

Hey K:

Yep, still hacking and the cigarettes and late nite happy smoke @ times dont help :-)

One of them 'should' go......NOT. :-)

I've had the NE element bout 2 weeks now, just gave it to my 16 year old. HA.

On antibotics and strong cough syrup.....

Can you use one of those patches? Why not buy yourself a box if they work for you? At least you'd be more comfortable as you fight this crud.

-- kb (kb8um8@yahoo.com), January 31, 2001.

I did try the patch once. It raced up my heart. Had to stop it.

Best way to quit is COLD turkey.

As for feeling better, yeah the syrup helps.

*hicup* hee hee

Other than the obvious of watching the kids being born and marrying the hottest babe on the planet I'd have to say my proudest moment was taking a ragtag team of 13 7 year old t-ballers and turning them into City Champions in 1996. Took that same group of kids and won the 8 year old championship in 1997.

Had them lil' guys turning double-plays before the summer was over. Man, that was some kinda fun!!!
