Just wondering how

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Grassroots Information Coordination Center (GICC) : One Thread

Just wondering how people heard about the GICC. From a friend, Aliens, Stumbled upon by accident, etc. I know there are a lot of people here from the old Time Bomb site and probably the new Time Bomb site, but would be kind of interesting to know how people found this place. Heck I think Gary North sneaks in once in a while. Take a minute and let us know, it won't hurt a bit.

Thanks

Martin

Critt Jarvis posted a link at the old TB site as it was closing. Wonder what happened to Critt?

Elvis gave me the URL as we were getting back onto the UFO last New Year's Eve.

Actually, I think it may have been the link Rachel refers to.

Used to post on the old TB 2000 site, picked up this url from Cory Hamasaki's site, when I came back to see what had happened a year after y2k.

Followed a link from the old TB2K board, way back when.

From the old TimeBomb. Had it bookmarked way back when it started. But after a month or so into rollover stopped looking until a few months back. You, Martin and all, are doing a heck of a job with the energy situation. Thanks

Got the link on the Running on Empty Egroups list. Gotta say this site rocks! Keep up the good work. Ciao KJ

Read Yourdon's book, so came from TB.

I thank all the posters for their premium effort, this is info that counts!!

Must have been TB2K, Cory Hamasaki or both. This is really a great service and a source of inspiration. Surprised there aren't more ANSWERS, though.

Bookmarked as the old TB2000 was shutting down. Many thanks to Martin, Rachel, and Meg for keeping this forum going. I look at it at least twice a day, especially since Gov. Locke started announcing energy alerts here in WA.

That seems to happen more frequently now, whenever BPA switches into a "let's just hand our cheap juice to California" mode. (Now, I recognize that was a highly unfair statement, but I said it anyway. So there.)

One thing I will note is that on Rick Cowles' electric utility Y2K forum, the potential for disruptions due to ever-growing demand and lack of corresponding increases in supply was an ever-recurring theme, but one which most of us pretty much ignored, thinking the crunch would arrive in 2002 or 2003. Wrrrrrongggggggggggg.

I think I actually got the site and Glitch Central from Gary North's Y2K site. I second all the other plaudits. This site it "awesome".
