Could the warriors build a Hydrofoil?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

I thought it might present a bit of a challenge for the two teams to construct a hydrofoil in the 10 hours they have. It't wouldn't be 'easy peasy - lemon squeezy" to build but it could be done with materials available in a scrapheap.

I like that idea. At least it's origional, although I think it has been posted before. I would like to see this episode.

Intresting, but not too safe, as the horsepower and speeds needed to get them to work right would make it quite dangerous.

It would require no more horsepower than the Land Rover had. And the speeds would be somwhat less than the dragsters they built. The challenge of stability is just that THE challenge.
