A novel flash diffuser.

This isn't a question, but I thought I'd pass on something that happened to me the other day.
I was using bounce flash on the camera, with the reflector pointed straight up, thinking to bpounce the light off the white ceiling of the room. Anyway, the best viewpoint turned out to be directly underneath the light fitting, which was fitted with a large, white "Chinese Lantern" paper diffuser.
I didn't think much about it, and took the pictures.
The thing is, they turned out really beautifully lit. The flash must have shone directly into the paper globe, and it made a lovely diffuser.
Now, I'm determined to buy one of these paper lanterns to use as a portable flash diffuser. They're cheap, and concertina down flat. They might look slightly daft stuck over your flashgun, but you can't knock the results.

Cool idea, Pete. I have also found that you can use the plastic gallon milk jugs (here in the States). Just cut to size of the flash head. A good, cheap diffuser!
