Concern is growing tonight over the number of bacterial meningitis cases in our area. Today, health officials released new numbers, which now include possible cases of meningitis confirmed.

Conroe residents began lining up several hours before shots were given in that city. By the time the doors opened, the line were several hundreds deep.

Many parents took their children out of school today to ensure they would receive the vaccine.

Today is the first day of a week long effort to stop the spread of the potentially deadly disease in that town.

The shots will continue in Conroe tomorrow for people whose names begin with C and D.

And Thursday is the final day of mass meningitis vaccinations in Humble...."
