Helicopter. Right. It's difficult enough to build a working remote chopper that flies reasonably well, let alone one out of junk, and let alone one that can carry a person. Too dangerous, and too sensitive to things that junkyards are not known for, ie. precision electronic control equipment.

A traditional torque-rotor design would be damn-near impossible, but a simpler design with counter-rotating blades wouldn't need the precision control. During WWII, the Germans used a primitive helicopter for scouting on the Russian front that had two counter- rotating lift rotors, and a seperate thrust propeller.
