Fighting Beetle Robots

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

I wonder if you could make it where the two teams had to pit machines against each other, say the object was for one machine to push the other on its side, like to beetles. I think I saw this once as a project for engineering students at some college. Don't know how you'd regulate the size, but the side who could make and control a machine that could tip the other over would be the winner.

Thing about it each team could make a machine so bottom heavy that it couldn't possibly be tipped over. This might be too tough to make in ten hours????

Initially I found Battle Bots to be a cool show. I would love to build something for the show sometime. Shortly after finding Battle Bots though, I found Junkyard Wars. It was love at first sight! I haven't been able to miss an episode since! I won't bash Battle Bots though. I think that both shows are good, but I will always prefer Junkyard Wars. Sorry, I just thought that I would throw in my opinion on this subject.
