Just got word -- More shows coming!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

In Feb: Monday nights and they are starting by filling in in the missing season one shows (the ones with house teams, and only George as host). They will be slightly earlier in the evening (8pm sometimes 7pm). Looks like only one episode a week.

I can't live with that. 2 shows a week left me "jonesin'" til wednesdays. Now one a week!!! I could live with an hour of JW two nights a week, that'd be a nice deal. Any idea why they are cutting back? to add length to the season? anyway, it depresses the hell out of me. thanks for listening.

Didn't Robert host the first season?

Spreading the episodes thin until they get the new seasons recorded no doubt. What I dont get is why they dont air the christmas international special after the sky rockets episode. I mean, logically it should follow!

I guess they are also attacking the more prime time slot, guess TLC is banking on JYW...

WHY didn't TLC show the battle between the American champs and the U.K. champs tonight after the rocket challenge?!?!? We all know they shot the show and some of us held off finding out who the winner was until they aired it (well, maybe just me). Wouldn't it be logical for them to air them back to back??? If anyone connected with the show reads this I would like an explanation as to their thinking and an idea on when they plan to show it. Thanks.

Boy do I feel dumb.... Yup, season one was Robert (only) Cathy was behind the cameras on that one.

The world series show was a 90 minute one in the UK. -- A US edit would (for once) gain a couple of minutes, and be a two hour single episode. So at a minimum they would want to hold it till they could give it the whole time slot...

And exactly why are they going with just one host? Nothing Against George, But It just doesn't seem right

A TLC episode minus commercials comes out to almost exactly 45 minutes on the nose. I know this because i've been capturing the episodes on PC and archiving them to mpeg. (VHS sucks, digital VCR rules)

So the UK episode could be shown almost directly without any editing, and it would fit perfectly in a 2 hour slot.

They started with only one host (Robert). The show thats going to broadcast monday is one of the first ones ever made. You get to see 6 shows with the same two "house" teams competing. For the second year, they broadcast an appeal for teams, and did the tournament. They also added Cathy in front of the cameras.
