Please do not suggest again to build "battlebots" - right now this is a real mans show - cannons, off road vehicles, drag racers etc. etc. - I know it is borderline "geeky" but do not let it cross completely over that line by building stupid robots. Build a bomb, a rocket, a crusher, another cannon, anything.

I agree I agree I concur I'll second that. I Love tihs show. I am NO geek I'm a lineman and my buddy the electrician agrees this is the best damn thing on T. V. I don't see the Geekyness though guys like me Flannels & jeans at work with grease under the Nails love this thing. Rednecks use problemsolving skills as well. I and my freinds really do Know people who have a ford pickup with a Chevy Drive train and a dodge bed. These people have seen the inside of a junkyard for real.

Battlebots--Just say NO!! That's what Robot Wars is for.

I think this show is great too! Not just a man's show. My husband and I watch every show together. I have placed posting looking to make an all women team, but VERY, VERY few are mechanically saavy. As a matter of fact, my technical and mechanical background/knowledge intimidates most all of the guys I work with. Yep, I'm a woman, and proud of it!

Battlebots is a great show, yep.. But Junkyard Wars need not sink so low as to copy another show's idea.

Agreed­-we don't need another "Battlebots." Don't get me wrong, I love the one we have, but we don't need a clone. "Junkyard Wars" is original and DIFFERENT. As a kid, I spent most of my time playing in the town junkyard (really!), so this show brings back...fond...(sob)...memories... Taking junk apart taught me a lot about mechanics, as this show teaches others. "Junkyard Wars" is kind-of "Bucky Fuller meets Mad Max." Oh, yea---and Cathy Rogers is a lot smarter and more entertaining than that blonde on "Battlebots."
