How about each team builds a simple robot. These robots will have a royal rumble in which the object is to push the opponent out of the ring to destroy it. Sort of like sumo wrestling. There would 5 matches (can't be four in case of a tie).

that is a good idea if you have a couple of mounths and a few thousand dallars in materials. building robots that fight is harder than you think
