FD lenses on EF mount (D30) body.

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Canon FD : One Thread

I have a collection of FD lenses and bodies (F1N, T-90, A-1...) but am interested in a digital body such as the D30. Does anyone have experience with FD to EF adapters? Issues? Type of adapters? etc. Any and all advice and or pointers are greatly appreciated. I'd REALLY like to get some more milage from my FD lens collection.

Thanks, Ed B.

There are two FD-EOS types of adapter. One contains no optics but functions as a short extension tube making infinity focus impossible. The other contains optics and acts as a slight tele-extender (not what you want with a digital camera where the frame is actually smaller than the 35mm film frame), but does permit infinity focus. The optics also protrude from the adapter like the FD Extender 1.4x-A, so it can only be used with longer lenses.
