I think an interesting challenge would be for teams to build mechanical bulls/bucking machines. Then have team members compete in a "rodeo" and try to ride the opposing team's machine.

This sounds like it would be alot of fun! Good idea! Maybe it would be fun if it was human powered, the combined energy of the team controlls the bucking of their machine.

Human powered mechanical bull is 1 hour project. 55 gallon drum suspended on 4 ropes. bolt on a leather strap for a hand hold. 4 people pull ropes. My kid and his class built one for a fair booth. Great Fun.
