I saw something on a web page once about doing it. I think if you go to www.vcdhelper.com, there is a link to the page there. Basically you have to run a program in the background that captures the Real Media output while it plays and this capture can be converted. You should be aware that Real Media is absolutely awful and if you are able to get this to work, the results will be bad. Real Media drops frames and other nasty things to save space. It's probably the worst possible format to record video in.

if you go to www.eo-video.com there is a program you can use to convert RM -> Avi

There are cracks available for it... but none seem to work >.< But just reinstalling it resets the 15 day trial :D

Also there is a program called TINRA but I can't get it to work... heres the url for it anyway http://members.fortunecity.com/tinra04/

for this program http://members.fortunecity.com/tinra04/ you have to run it from the dos command, change to the directory where the program is, type in tinra.exe file: (yourfilename).rm (the name of the file you want to save to).avi

and it'll convert.

if you go into ms-dos prompt and type cnvrt-vd, a screen will pop up and with this utility you can change the form of any video file through the right way to do it
