The Perfect American Host

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread

I've thought long and hard about this...and If The Producers of The Show insist on having an American Host for The American Version... Then Why not Put in Tim the Tool Man Taylor. He's the Perfect man for the Job....who knows engines better? Who Knows how to improve things better? And Who wouldn't mind a few more jokes about Bob Villa This weeks Challenge....Build a Cannon Using the Binford 2000 Compressor.....(grunt grunt) More POWER!

That does not sound half bad idea

That'd be funny and I bet Tim Allen (the Guy who plays Tim the Tool Man Taylor) would do it too. Junkyard Wars sounds right up his alley.

Man, why didn't *I* think of that! How perfect! (I'd like to put a Tim Allen approval grunt here, but I have no idea how to type it).

Now if only I could remember where I put his number... ;-)

I think your right on the money here Junkman. The Toolman would be ThePERFECT HOST for the show. My 2 faverite shows of all time mated together, into the Greatest TV show ever made. AAHHHRAA :)

Go Toolman

Tim the toolman Taylor is just a stupid fictional character. If the Junkyard wars producers want to lower the average intelligence of their viewers, it's a very good idea JunkyMan

Sure He's a Fictional Character, However if you've ever Seen Tim Allen's Stand Up Routine.....thats how he is. And IT wouldn't exactly be low for the Producers...After all, Tim Allen Does have know how about mechanics. George Kinda lacks there.....Tim Allen Is Funny...George kinda Lacks there too. People Enjoy Watching Tim Allens Show...George...well....REad the Posts, He's Not that Popular. I highly doupt we'll ever Get Tim Allen TO Do Junk Yard....But hey...It's fun to Imagine....And If the Producers are reading this....have they ever considered Guest Hosts? :o)

I wonder what Tim Allens fee would be. TLC dosent have that much cash.

-- Stephen A. Binion (Stephenbinion@hotmail.com), January 13, 2001.

TLC doesn't have much cash, my ass... TLC is just a channel... Discovery Networks is the company, and they have plenty of money... Besides, it really comes down to something else... The advertisers... Tim Allen is a high profile personality, and just as he would likely command a higher pay rate, the advertising dollars follow behind...

Remember the three rules of TV...

1) Ratings rank above all else.

2) See rule #1, except where rule #3 applies

3) See Rule #1
