SONIC WINGS 3 HAVE A PROBLEM TO RECORD!!!

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MAME Action Replay : One Thread

hello. I want tell that I was recording SONIC WINGS 3 in winmame 37b5, and I made some points. Just to confirm, I´ve watched the replay. Look, sometimes, the bonuses changes, or be, in some cases the bonus is that airplane with the power-ups or that tanks with medals. In this bonus of the tanks, SOMETIMES THE ORDER CHANGES!!!

So, this is my problem with my replays in this game. Exist some solution to repair this? because if I upload one record with 2.500.000 of points for example and this bad mistakes happen, how can I prove that I made this hi-score??

Thanks for the attention. :)

And another important question.
There is no possible way to repair your lost inp.
I have lost many recording at May/June of 2000.
use dosmame instead of mame32 is solution.
you are lucky. you new get opportunity to send over 3 million instead of 2,500,000.
Good luck.

Your dos recordings of sonicw3 playback fine, keep it up, although i'd recommend not recording the same leech trick again. the INP is the only way to verify your score, png's are inconclusive (useless) here at marp. once again your dos36b8 recording worked just fine.

If a recording's not working with win37b5 (why that version?), it's probably because you didn't remove the NVRAM before recording. From m36b14 on, NVRAM has to be deleted prior to making recordings on Neo-Geo games. If you don't want to deal with that, use a version released before then, preferably mame35 or m35tg3.

Am I the only one who can't playback INNUENDO's m36b8 recordings? I always get a "WORK RAM TEST" message, it only plays back for me with m36b7. Anyway...

The "leeching trick" you're using to get points is very lame, and you know it. Having a higher score when you die on Stage 4 while I got to Stage 12 isn't that fair, it's not a true test of skill. At any rate, I wouldn't expect that score to last too long in 1st place. Just a friendly warning, you might want to start playing it the way it was meant to be played.

Yes, bbh is right that you may have to remove the nvram\sonicwi3.nv file before you record with later versions of mame (dos and windows) to get them to playback fine afterwords.

bbh: it might be that the FM settings in mame.cfg may need to be changed to play the m36b8 recording back correctly. I remmeber i had a similar problem with bubbles neogeo shooter recording. I can't look at my home computer now but i bet you're having an FM setting problem (or possibly but unlikely a cfg removal since i always remove cfg and nvram before playing back via script.)
