What should be 2000 Battle Of The Year?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MAME Action Replay : One Thread

Two battles come to my mind.

First one is the big competition between abbe and blost I think in cuebrick. That had at least 5 lead changes right there which Abbe finally pulled out.

The second one would be the big magical drop 2 battle between myself and Q.T. Quazar, that one had at least 25 lead changes in the three variants of the puzzle mode - which I eventually lost.

opinions? gb9

i'd say magdrop. hell i could be responsible for initaiting it! (as you know i was the 1st marper to upload a 1m score on MD2 puzzle mode though i ended up being crushed at the end)

as for the current battle between us over syvalion i'll be working on a 3m but that may take time (i saw a japanese recording of over 11m)

my most memorable "battle" of 2000 was with Bubble on Air Duel. In the span of a few days we seesawed back and forth for the top spot, and we both ended up learning the game well enough to finish the first loop of levels on one credit... that last boss was a pain in the ass!

hmm, it took place in mid-April and we used m37b1... I just now realize that this has been one incredibly long beta cycle for MAME.

I'm talking about the 74,000 point puzzle mode - where you need to solve it in a certain number of moves. You're talking about survival mode - although that's a good battle too. GB9

Another thought - I think I'm going to give you syvalion. Why? It's called carpal tunnel syndrome. I achieved the high score - then bang - the syndrome came to my arm. I'm 20 and I have it - geez... I'm going to be away from games for a while... GB9
