Helicopters!

Each team should have to build a helicopter, or whirlygig. The craft to go the highest should win. This would be very interesting.

And it would also be very interesting, when the engine dies and they plummit to thier death. I think there is too much risk in a helicopter. Unless it was like a gyrocopter or something, maybee. I dont know. Maybee they should have to tow something with a small helo. that would be spiffy, as long as it didt get too high off the ground. cause if it go too high, it might die out, or flip or suffer some serious areodynamic fate.

I would like to see some aircraft as well, but realistically the producers couldn't afford the insurance rider for accidental death of the contestants. I think the only way to do aircraft or helicopters would be by remote control. They already did "bombers" in this fashion. I like the gyro-copter idea. That might be small enough to use smaller RC actuators in.

Well, i was thinking that they could have some sort of thether attached to the contraptions, to stop (or slow) their fall if they did. Sorry, i forgot to add this on my original post. :p

I'm in a helicopter sqaudron and the darn thing fail enough as built from the factory. I wouldn't get within a mile of a Bodged Helicopter.
