hey im 16 and i totally agree. Their should be some sort of Junior or High School Version. This show is awesome even though they got rid of the awesome Robert Llewlleyn.

Sure, great idea. Lets get a bunch of kids that don't even have a drivers license yet and let them play with dangerous power tools. These kids get to handle these same tools all the time, all you need is to make sure they have adult supervision, permission from their parents, a signed agreement that their families won't sue in the event of an accident, an island in international waters, and a butt- load of lawers. There is already a saftey issue where adults are involved, and the machines have to be inspected by safety technicians. Add to the equation a few minors and you have yourself some serious entertainment.

Iam 15 years old live on a farm, and operating big machinery is no problem. I have my licenses and would love a junior version of this awesome show.

Ok MR smart a$$, if the adults sign a waiver(or WHAT ever you call it) or should i say, Saftey Release form, and get hurt and not sure, why is it different for a minor. Of course there are saftey laws, but why should they be any different to any one under 18? As long as ther is parental permission, we are adults, technicly speaking. NOw i would also like to know what is the problem with kids putting on flight suits and helmets and running around a junkyard to build stuff? Hell if ther is an adult nearby, we are supervised, and if we do something stupid, they tell us to stop. that is SSSSOOOOO hard. It appears to me that most people on here are prejudice against kids. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?! Im sure if you showed me how once i could weld as well as anyone, i can pull out junk into an ATV and drive back to a work shop. Why cant we be allowed to do that? Would it make you feel better if an ADULT did all the power tooling? Infact for this to work, we could make the team bigger by 1 person. You could have 3 kids, 1 adult to weld and so forth then the "specilist". would that make you feel better?

I am 17, and I think JW is the coolest show and there is alot of fun that can be had. I dont think that this show is something that minors should be deeply involved. There is alot of endurance that alot, not all, of minors can handle. However, I would love a couple of kids to go at it in the trash heap. This would be nothing more than just a one episode special though because there are so few kids that would be QUALIFIED to do this.

I'm 17, but I feel this is a completely stupid idea. Common sense will tell you that no one would want to watch a bunch of bratty kids that think they know everything try to put together a big machine. Pay attention in school, go to college, learn, and then maybe someone will find it interesting enough to watch you on TV. Sure it would be fun to do something like this, but it's an impossibility on the part of the networks.

I believe that all younger people that can show exeptional skill in the areas of mechanics should be aloud to be on the show too. Heck I'm 14 and I know a lot more about mechanics than most couch potato Adults.LET US DO IT!!!!!

I have plenty of expierence with heavy machinery, gasoline engines (right now i am building a go cart, BY MYSELF),radio control, and some welding expierence, you can have adults watching over us i dont care, i wont need their help, and by the way im 12

just my two cents worth, but if a group of youngsters shows promise and has permission from there folks let them try. i was digging through junk yards by 16 and ive seen a few younger folks when i was that age come up with some really neat ideas for things they pulled out of them. the challanges dont have to be the same as for the adults just as long as they are challanging, granted some think they are indestuctable and will take chances but thats why you have adults near by.

hey kablamotheclown@yahoo.com your a Idiot,

Kids under 18 use power tools on a daily bases, did't you ever have shop, like a bunch of sissy business men that have never picked up a hammer are more able to use a drill then someone who is 17,realy think about in genious.

I think kids should be able to do the show.I know a lot of kids that are qualified with this technic. I'm a girl and i can do that crap. All you need is somebody supervising the kids. And have a contract that the kids parents can't sue the show. How simple can taht be?

-- Alicia Jimmerson (youalluglyfolks@aol.com), November 10, 2002.

hey kids need to be let in on the action im 10 but all us kids need is adult supervision and safty inspections on the stuff we create its all we need heck i could design almost anything i could even design a simple tank to make out of only of rubber strips 2 bycycles and a car body
