why doesn't anyone produce a lens for portaits like a 75-150 with a close distance. i have a 28-70/2.8 (tops out at 70, not to good for portraits) and a 70-200/2.8 (bulky and has a min focus distance of 6')

another question is other independent manufacturers lenses good as the oem lenses (pro model)?
