I have to take issue with that, I think Applebee's is head & shoulders above Denny's. It still sorta sucks, though, in that depressing way that only a homogenized chain-franchise can. I'll take White Castle.

Well, everyone has their own likes and dislikes. The first time I ate at A's was in Reading, PA, and the second time was in L.A., so I know it wasn't just one bad site. All I can say is that I'd much rather go to the local market get a loaf of bread and some cold cuts from the deli and eat on the curb than go back there.

Not claiming Denny's is great or even "good" mind you, but at 3 a.m. you can get breakfast.

Okay, we do have an Applebees here, and in honor of this thread, I had lunch there, had the Applebee burger with several cheeses. I thought that it was way better than Denny's taste-wise but over- priced for what was there. Seems like more of a place to take a date when you really want to see the game or at least keep an eye on it and still get credit for taking her to a sit down restaurant.

FS note that the HAARP waves are a mite strong this week. Maybe cut back some on that coffee.

Future Shock, I think you're supposed to wrap tinfoil around your head to block out the HAARP waves. Unfortunately, Capn and Raven used up all the foil when they had their Christmas cook out. Then again, maybe sumer has been using some for a tanning bed out back and will let you borrow some.
