Has anyone sold work at art fairs? If so, how did you do? I am looking into selling in this manner. Any info would be helpful.

A good friend of mine used to do this. Give yourself a year to get the feel of the circuit. Juried shows (the ones you need to submit for acceptance) are the better ones. There again, there are no guarantees. Some shows will be better than others. Get a credit card machine from your bank and one of those tents which you can get at Costco...

I tried selling nicely framed and matted art prints at a "juried" arts and crafts fair once, side by side with a fine silver jewelry craftswoman and an acrylic landscape painter. We sold next to nothing. The guy who sold the most was opposite our tables with the coiled wax snake beer can holders!
