There is a sicko in every town, except Malad City, Idaho!

Welp, I reckon they dont call it I Da Hoe for nuthin, eh?

I've spent a lot of time in Twin Falls. Perhaps you guys are gay Mormons?

-- straitboy (stay@away.now), January 07, 2001.

Straitboy, if you've lived in Twin Falls, Idaho, you know damned well there are no queer Mormons there. You know darn well that Twin Falls is a great little town to live in. You had no reason to write negative about Twin Falls.

-- ... (...@...com), January 07, 2001.

I was in no way insulting Twin Falls. It is a great place. I was suggesting that there is no huge gay population in Jerome. If there are any, they usually stay back pretty far in the closet. Why do you seem to hate Mormons so much?

-- straitboy (stay@away.now), January 07, 2001.

For someone to assume that there're no gay Mormons in Twin Falls, Idaho is just pretty damn stupid. The priesthood and upper hierarchy in any denomination of religion has a higher influx of the homosexual population. I think it rates right in there with male tap dancers and hair stylists. Besides they eat their fair share of onions on a regular basis. The third Tuesday of every month is onion and garlic day.

-- Boswell (fundown@thefarm.net), January 07, 2001.

Straitboy, you're the one who mentioned gay mormons. You're the one who is bashing mormons. Perhaps you hate the fact that the Mormon Church is the fastest growing Church in the country.

There has to be a reason for that. The Mormon Church must have something that the other Churches don't have!

It must be the truth and nothing but the truth!

-- ... (...@...com), January 07, 2001.

Boswell, you said,

Besides they eat their fair share of onions on a regular basis. The third Tuesday of every month is onion and garlic day.

Call me naive, but what is this supposed to *really* mean? I can't figure it out.

'little help?

Frank

Frank, you need to go down to the " I know who Boswell is" thread and it will pretty much explain about the onions. It's just somethin I've noticed over the years about onions and flamin and they seem to have a relationship. I've got notes goin clear back to 74 on the subject. You got to be careful about what you eat in this day and age!

-- Boswell (fundown@thefarm.net), January 07, 2001.

red potatoes, red onions, Boswell eats them all the same. Boswell can't remember the last time he unzipped his pants let alone 1974. Ask him about the straw trick, thats a good one. also about the venture with his friend the guy that likes mayo on EVERTHING.

"There has to be a reason for that. The Mormon Church must have something that the other Churches don't have!

I don't know if it's "the truth" so much as it is belief in and practice of traditional values, and a strong focus on family and community.

I'm not a Mormon but plan to learn more about their beliefs for precisely these reasons. I live in an area with a fair number of Mormon families (not Utah) and you don't see any of their kids looking or acting like punks and using drugs.

P.S. For those who don't appreciate what I'm getting at, try raising (losing) a couple of kids in California.

Polygamy, yeah!

Nemesis,

Polygamy, yeah!

OTOH, I agree with Jim that I'd rather own a boiler factory. At least with a boiler factory you could shut it off when you got tired of the racket! ;-)
