NEW YORK, Jan 5 (Reuters) - Trading in Bank of America Corp. (NYSE:BAC) shares was halted on Friday pending a news release.

The company was not immediately available for comment.

The stock closed on Thursday at $51-1/2 on the New York Stock Exchange, below a 52-week high of $60-7/8.
